Our time is precious, so thank you for carving out some of it to visit my blog. The idea of starting a blog is something that I have toyed with for a while now, and there’s no time like the present.
We live in an interesting time in history to say the least, but, fundamentally, this is nothing we haven’t seen before. Can we learn from our mistakes? That remains to be seen!
My goal for this blog is to challenge you, the reader, to think and to use the wonderful organ that lies between our ears a little more. Perhaps, I shouldn’t have gotten ahead of myself there by assuming I have a reader yet, but I’m optimistic.
Over the past year, I have thought outside of the box that we have been placed in, and I recommend you do that as well. We all have been placed in a box since birth, believe it or not, and it is up to the individual to break out of this box, also known as “Plato’s cave”. What is Plato’s cave you might ask? To paraphrase this timeless allegory, it is a cave of ignorance. It is not meant to be an insult either. I was in it, and majority of us are still there. Most people never make it out, and nobody said it was easy. The main problem is that when external efforts are made to help you get out of this cave it will challenge your belief system.
So I say what good is a belief system if the belief system that we currently have in place has lead us to war, crime, violence, disease, death, suffering, conflict, poverty, and deceit for generations?
What we are doing as a species is not working, and we need to make changes. But first, we need to make changes to ourselves. There is no sense in focusing BIG on the world just yet. In the words of Confucius, “To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.” Peace is something that starts with you.
There has been many discoveries in the past 20 or so years that has been suppressed from mainstream media and our educational system. Specifically, in regards to how powerful our hearts are. We are all deeply connected, and there is an awakening happening. A rise in consciousness. I believe our current generation is ready for a new world. There is no doubt that our parents and our grandparents have gone through tough times. There is no denial there, but I think we, as a human race, are ready for something new. Something better.
The good news is that it is not all bad. I am very optimistic about the future. Once you start peeling back the truth, then life gets better. Life becomes one of cooperation, not competition.
My blog is going to be about knowledge I have acquired this past year, and knowledge that I continue to acquire. Knowledge that I believe to be the most valuable knowledge in the world. Some of it may challenge your beliefs. A lot of us will be in denial, but remember, denial strikes twice. It keeps us from finding the knowledge we need, and it keeps us from applying the knowledge we need. We need to empty our cup and consider other possibilities. The beauty is that we are all entitled to our own opinions. You may disagree, you may not. I am not here to stir the pot. I am here to tickle your minds a bit, so you can start thinking for yourself.
In the words of Aristotle, “It is the mark of an intelligent mind to entertain a thought without accepting it.” Do you accept every idea that has been presented to you without question? We need to question things and decide for ourselves, and every decision we make boils down to two root feelings: love and fear. We need to tap into that love source: our hearts.
We are powerful beings. More powerful than any words can describe.
Let’s take back that power and be the best that we can be.
Let’s live logically!
